hi there! my name is Megan Engebretson, and I am an experienced photographer and producer based in sunny Denver, Colorado. with over a decade behind cameras, I specialize in product photography and commercial video production. but my favorite subjects to capture are those of travel/outdoor recreation or culinary nature!
I graduated from Minneapolis College in 2019 with a degree in Cinema: Producing and Directing. during my time there, i had an internship with the Minnesota Film and Television Board where I learned about location scouting and state tax incentives for productions based in MN. following graduation, I experimented with producing music videos, live television, wedding photography, and screenwriting. for the last 4 years, I have been shooting e-commerce, marketing, and social media content at soona studios and LOVING it! beauty, fashion, food, pets, home, industrial, recreation, portraits, education; almost no subject has been left untouched in my years here!
outside of this career I have built myself as a camerawoman, I love to spend time in the outdoors camping, hiking, and a LOT of rollerblading. in 2025 I joined the Denver Intrepid Skating Team and compete in long-distance inline roller skate racing! but when i need a creative outlet that doesn’t involve a camera - I find passion in drawing, painting, and jewelry making. after years of exclusively painting with acrylic paints, I fell in love with oil painting classes at the Curtis Center for the Arts. sometimes, I combine my loves of camping and painting into plein air sessions, the ULTIMATE disconnect and recharge so I can get back to my work feeling fresh and inspired.
